Welcome to TWG Foundation

TWG Foundation was born from a simple belief: business can and should be a force for good.

Originally launched as a passion project by entrepreneurs Michael and Denise Williams, the Foundation began with a single scholarship program in 2021 to honour Denise’s Indigenous grandmother Ruth Shead, a residential school survior. What started as a personal commitment to giving back has since grown into something much bigger.

Today, TWG Foundation stands proudly on its own, guided by a growing board of directors who help shape our mission, drive impact, and expand our reach. While our roots are in the values of The Williams Group—profit with purpose, long before it was a buzzword—the Foundation now operates independently to focus on its charitable goals.

Our mission is to increase access to scholarships, support youth programs, and invest in community-based initiatives that foster equity, opportunity, and well-being. As we grow, so does our commitment to building meaningful partnerships and delivering support where it’s needed most.

We gratefully receive donations from local businesses, including event passes and supplies, which we use to help fundraise through raffles and other initiatives.
